Briefly describe your work.
I am an actor (film/TV/stage/audiobooks/improv), and I also work at Goldman Sachs as a virtual events producer. I value creativity, community, and levity in my work and life! I’m a dog mom to two senior pups (mini-Aussies), and I write poetry.
What do you love about what you do?
I am endlessly curious about people and how we connect and why we struggle to connect. Acting is a way to explore all of that, while also navigating my own relationship with playfulness.
How did you start (your work)?
My very first play was in high school: “The Actor’s Nightmare” by Christopher Durang. I stood in a garbage can with pigtails and an English accent and made people laugh, and I thought… I’d like to do more of this.
Where do you see your work going in the next year… five?
I’m less rigid about what my work as an artist “should” be. I write poetry, I do comedy, I dance… I’d love to make a comedy feature film. I’m also new-ish to NY — I’d like to build relationships with casting in NYC, and grow my network of filmmaker friends.
What do you like best about Beahive?
I’ve been working from home in recent years, and while I love my dogs, it hits different to be in a space with humans. It feels like people want to be here because they like being around people (my kind of people). There is much to be curious about here.
What’s your favorite thing about the local community?
I’m obsessed with how cool and beautiful Beacon is, and it seems like the community here also really love living here. That is not the case everywhere and that passion to make Beacon shine feels special.
Anything else you want us to know?
My favorite kind of chocolate is salted caramel chocolate and my favorite kind of ice cream is non-dairy mint chip.
