We’re more than a member-powered workspace. We’re also an event and meeting space, available to the public to rent.

Because of the dramatic features of the spaces themselves, the hive of activity happening within, and our community focus, BEAHIVE is a truly unique venue. Over the years we’ve hosted hundreds (thousands?) of workshops, meetings, offsite strategic retreats and special events (fundraisers, live performances, film screenings, etc.) — from 2-person confabs to events with 100-plus.

Please note: We do not host weddings, birthdays, showers and such private parties at any of our locations.

Our Downtown Albany hive is in a former architect’s studio and has a mix of work areas, including meeting spaces, desks/tables, and private offices.

We have three conference rooms on two floors that can accommodate small workshops and group meetings up to 20 or so.

Our flagship hive is right in the heart of Beacon, on three floors of the iconic artisan-renovated 1907 Telephone Building at 291 Main Street.

Our main communal room is a large, open, first-floor loft with exposed brick walls, maple floors, soaring ceilings, and nine large windows facing south, east and west. When the sun is shining it floods the space with natural light (which, studies show — surprise! — improves productivity, sleep and vitality). And all that light feeds a whole bunch of plants sprinkled throughout (because — surprise! — plants are good for you, too).

Upstairs we have a full kitchen and a conference room with white plaster walls, large windows letting in lots of natural light, and the same maple floor and soaring ceiling — perfect for smaller workshops and meetings.

We have a mix of work and lounge areas, meeting space, desks and tables, sofas and armchairs. See more about the Beacon hive, including COVID precautions.
