Say Hi to Our Community Ambassador: Lindsey Adler
Please give a big round of bzzz to our Beacon community ambassador Lindsey Adler, a “curator of ideas” passionate about “telling stories and cultivating community around interesting people, places, and ideas”… like Beahive!
I’m a(n)…
writer, editor, curator of ideas, farmer’s market aficionado.
I’m passionate about…
telling stories and cultivating community around interesting people, places, and ideas.
Briefly describe your work.
My work today is in a state of transition. While I’ve spent the past 7 years working in content marketing and communications for tech SaaS companies, my last company was recently acquired, and I’ve decided to pivot my career.
I’m currently exploring a bunch of different directions to see what sticks. So far that includes more personal writing projects, events, hospitality, and community.
What do you love about what you do?
I love having the freedom to explore different ideas and paths that might lead me to new opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
How did you start (your work)?
I started my career in the media and publishing industry as an editor. I had a few early stints in newsrooms and a magazine for Vail Resorts before landing at a B2B trade publisher covering audio and video engineering. As much as I loved producing magazines, it didn’t provide a lot of opportunity for growth. Eventually, I went over to “the dark side,” aka marketing, which I enjoyed much more than I expected.
Where do you see your work going in the next year… five?
With content marketing and communications being transformed by AI, I believe that work will be completely different. I predict that a byproduct of the AI revolution will be demand for human interactions. That’s one reason I’m bullish on events, hospitality, and community, which is where I see my work going.
What do you like best about BEAHIVE?
The community and the calm, focused space.
What’s your favorite thing about the local community?
I love the positive energy in Beacon. I find that whichever part of the community people are from, they’re friendly, caring, and engaging.
