Collaborative Symmetry: Community Drawing

Celebrate the opening of Spontaneous Symmetry, a series of original works by Beacon-based ambidextrous artist Donna Mikkelsen.

Donna has been exploring ambidextrous drawing for 25+ years. She has developed her own unique style and has turned her passion into a daily practice of drawing meditation.

Ambi Marks for ages 1-3 (3 – 4 PM)

Drop in for a spontaneous drawing session with Donna. Designed for emerging mark-makers and their families.

Ambi Grooves for all ages (4 – 5 PM)

Explore symmetry drawing to rhythms and music. A playful exploration of symmetry, movement and rhythm.

Both sessions are free.

Come back for the Spontaneous Symmetry Art Opening + Performance, 7 – 9 PM.

Both events coincide with the installation of a commissioned mural for the BEAHIVE conference room.
