Steve Blamires

Steve Blamires was born and raised in the West of Scotland. In 1993 he moved to the US and now lives in Beacon NY with his wife Jennifer.

He has spent the last 20 years working on small expedition cruise ships in places as varied as the Arctic and the Antarctic; the Mediterranean; Iceland and Greenland; West Africa; Russia and South America. He has sailed with many companies including National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions as shipboard historian and Expedition Leader.

While on these adventurous voyages he gives historical and cultural presentations as part of the ships’ informal educational program. Now he is pleased to offer a sample of these talks and lectures as part of this Winter Wanderlust series for the armchair traveler and hardened explorer alike.
