Robert Rodriguez Jr: The Making of a Landscape Photograph
While we can all appreciate a great landscape photograph, we rarely see the process and creative vision that shows how an image was made; how it was developed from the original vision to the final print. There is no such thing as a straight print, and it is in the creative use of both the camera and digital processing that we can achieve both emotion and a message in landscape and nature photography.
In this presentation, Robert shares his inspiration, creative process and workflow using several successful images from the Hudson Valley. He’ll discuss vision, camera technique, composition, and digital processing. And he’ll discuss the final execution – the print.
You’ll have a chance to see how an image is crafted from what the camera captures in the field to an image that conveys what the photographer felt and hopes to convey to the viewer. He’ll also discuss how fine art, and specifically the Hudson River School of painters, has influenced his work and vision as a landscape photographer.
There will be a slide show presentation, Q+A, and fine art print samples of his work.
