Please give a big round of bzzz to our Beacon community ambassador, Bridget O’Neill. A career coach, executive recruiter, and storyteller, Bridget is passionate about hearing other peoples’ stories (among other things).

I’m a(n)…

career coach, executive recruiter, and storyteller.

I’m passionate about…

hearing peoples’ stories.

Briefly describe your work.

I inspire and drive others to tell their story.

I have lectured on “personal brand” at SUNY, Fordham, Stern, and Columbia and have also told live stories at The Moth for 12 years.

What do you love about what you do?

Championing people and having them realize their strengths and package that as their own, unique brand. I love seeing the successes they make.

The bottom line is I’m passionate about people and love seeing them shine!

How did you start (your work)?

I was a corporate recruiter reporting to C-Suite leadership, working cross-functionally across organizations, including PepsiCo and Omnicom; interviewing, and hiring thousands of applicants in advertising, marketing, branding, media, tech, pharmaceutical, and comm’s.

By interviewing people you get to learn a lot more about them aside from their skill set and this is always fulfilling. You also learn a lot about the corporate entity which isn’t as fulfilling.

Where do you see your work going in the next year… five?

People equity. Outside of one-on-one coaching, I want to work with organizations and CEOs of these organizations to change how they approach hiring and retention by offering a suite of services to take a more human approach to how they view employees.

What do you like best about Beahive?

The location is in the heart of Beacon. Beacon attracts entrepreneurs and artists who naturally understand and exercise collaboration and community. So, it makes sense that Beahive exists. The space itself offers a warm, welcoming, and soothing environment that nurtures the creative juices, and to be among others.

Anything else you want us to know?

I host ‘Coffee + Collaboration’ meetings for female entrepreneurs to discuss our business steps and to keep each other accountable for keeping goals met. We learn from one another and support each other. If you identify as female, please join us. We meet every Tuesday at 10 AM at Kitchen & Coffee.

Join BEAHIVE’s Community Ambassador Program. In exchange for your help, we’ll support you with membership, resources and meaningful connections.
