We launched Beahive in the iconic Telephone Building in May 2009, when Beacon was a much different place. After 14 years, it was time to move on.

Following a 4-month gut renovation we’ve relocated down the street to a 4,000 square foot space, all on one accessible, street-fronting ground floor.

Our new plant-filled flagship has a larger communal lounge with a mix of coworking tables and sitting areas and kitchen, plus multiple meeting rooms and privacy pods — most available to both members and non-members. The lounge also functions as an event and meeting space.

We also have a “desk den” with 10 resident desks and 14 private offices (plus 14 more in our Beacon and Cold Spring annexes).

All of this gives us more coworking flexibility and better meeting and event space options.

Which, in turn, allows us to create an even more vibrant community space where entrepreneurs, creatives and techies mix with nonprofit leaders, activists and community organizers. And where we continue to engage residents and community groups and nonprofits through a mix of membership, events and programs.
