Briefly describe your work.
SHE Media is a women’s lifestyle platform with over 2,500 publishers and creators. My job as senior director of branded content is to create ideas that get pitched to advertisers and then execute them if they sell.
What do you love about what you do?
I get to work on hundreds of campaigns a year so it’s never boring. Every now and again I get to sneak in a campaign that raises awareness about a cause I care about.
How did you start (your work)?
I searched alphabetically through PR companies in NYC, and cold emailed to see if they needed an intern. Luckily, it only took until Allied Advertising to get an interview. That started my advertising/PR/marketing career.
Where do you see your work going in the next year… five?
Bigger campaigns with year long partnerships. More use of AI as tools.
Or maybe giving it all up and moving off the grid.
What do you like best about BEAHIVE?
I travel about 40 minutes to get my kids to school, so having a place where I can do that and still work is key. The people who I have met here have been interesting and smart, and it’s fun to have an office in the city and in Beacon.
What’s your favorite thing about the local community?
Beacon is a funky town and I get to have my hometown community, my NYC community, and now my Beacon community with new shops and restaurants and art to explore.
