Briefly describe your work.
I edit features at Bustle Digital Group, which is the parent company of a bunch of editorial websites, including Bustle, NYLON, Inverse and Romper.
What do you love about what you do?
I get to pay writers to find out more about the things that interest me.
How did you start (your work)?
Through a friend from my college newspaper, I got a job at the New York Observer, a weekly tabloid owned by a then little-known real estate heir named Jared Kushner.
Where do you see your work going in the next year… five?
Ask Google and Facebook! My best guess is that I’ll be editing for audiences who have more demands on their attention, and who want higher quality answers to the questions they have.
What do you like best about BEAHIVE?
It’s hard to overstate the value, from a quality of life perspective, of a workplace that is not my home but is only a walking distance away from my home.
What’s your favorite thing about the local community?
I love how easy it is to get a good, personalized recommendation with a strong point of view. I’ve learned about so many amazing beers (Homespun), wines (Dirty Bacchus), books (Binnacle), and plants (One Nature) since I moved to Beacon.
