A wacky comics editor, Chris has been a part of BEAHIVE since 2012.
editor… you have no idea how important and useless we are at the same time.
I’m passionate about…
Peggy (wife), Pete (son), my friends, and comic books!
Briefly describe your work.
I edit books for Workman Publishing — all nonfiction, mostly comics, and for kids and adults. Just started… so full description to come!
What do you love about what you do?
I get to put my feet up on my desk and read comic books while others have meetings about [INSERT MEANINGLESS BUSINESS SCHOOL JARGON HERE].
How did you start (your work)?
Drew comics, read comics, talked to other people about comics, interviewed with companies that paid people to make comics. Did all of those things a lot before it became a job.
What do you like best about BEAHIVE?
The building, the people, the view, and a feeling of a home away from home.
Where do you see your work going in the next year… five?
Well, I’m working and commuting now to Workman, so it’s mostly going to be “going” to Manhattan! But my freelance work (on weekends) will hopefully produce some modest comics work.
Anything else you want us to know?
I have never seen Forrest Gump.
