Healthcare Financing for Solopreneurs, Freelancers, the Self-Employed
Wed, Nov 18, 2015
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Trying to figure out how to pay for healthcare for you and your family? Confused by premiums, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, in-network, out of network, HMO, PPO, and ACA? We’ll have an open, informal discussion about how other independent workers like you are making these decisions.
Facilitated by BEAHIVE member Michael R. O’Brien, MD, a Beacon-based general internist and pediatrician, who is currently a health services research fellow at Yale University. He completed his combined residency at University of Buffalo and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. He completed medical school at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, where he was a founding member of the Brooklyn Free Clinic. He hopes to open a general medical practice in Beacon within a year.
Held during our regular members lunch and open to the public. Limited space. Please RSVP and bring your own lunch.
